Social Community Award

On June 10, 2007 Centenary Church was honored with the 2007 Social Community Award in recognition of our collective efforts to build a new sort of community within our church, within our neighborhood, and within our city. The award was bestowed by the South Georgia Annual Conference, a regional body of our United Methodist denomination.

We are grateful for this recognition because it indicates the significance and distinction of our community-building efforts. However, we also know that we have not completed the journey. We stand ready to continue the hard work of building the sort of community in our congregation, our neighborhood, and our city that reflects the love, peace, and justice of God.
