A Team Approach

At Centenary we believe in gift-based ministry and as such, we take a team approach to everything we do. Many of our staff work part-time within their area of professional expertise and spiritual gifts, with the goal of identifying and utilizing members of the community within the areas about which they are passionate. All of this takes place under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Tim Bagwell.

Tim has been a pastor for more than 40 years and is honored to be a part of the team at Centenary.  His wife, Susan, is a retired public schools teacher.  Along with working with the Centenary team, Tim  is enjoying part-time retirement.  He and Susan enjoy trips to the North Georgia mountains and trips to Richmond, Virginia for visits with the best grandkids in the world - Timothy and Maisie.  Tim also thinks that his dog, Ellie, is the best dog in the world.  Ellie is a 14 year old rescue miniature Schnauzer that follows Tim around the house even though she is nearly blind and totally deaf.   Tim enjoys an occasional movie, and golf, and has a deep love of reading.  But the best part of it all is the connection at Centenary.  The people at Centenary form the most grace-filled congregation in the world.  Centenary is home.  What a joy to be in this place, with these people, at this time in history.
