Called Charge Conference

Called Charge Conference for a Candidate for Ministry

Join us right after worship in the Sanctuary for a special called charge conference on Sunday, December 21. All members of Centenary are allowed to vote in this charge conference where we will hear from AJ Ramirez - member of Centenary who has helped us form the new faith community in Valdosta - as she seeks to move forward in her call to serve as an ordained deacon in the UMC. Rev. Tommy Martin will preside over this charge conference and every member at Centenary will be given a paper ballot to vote on their recommendation for AJ as she moves forward towards the District Committee on Ordained Ministry to become a certified candidate. If you are not officially a member of Centenary, you are still welcome to come and hear AJ's call to ministry and offer support by your presence! AJ is a certified lay minister in the South Georgia conference and helps facilitate the worship services at Mosaic in Valdosta. She's a licensed therapist and a women's studies and sociology professor at Valdosta State University. Her wife Gayle is also a member at Centenary and they've got four kids together. If you have any questions ahead of time please let Pastor Sara know at sara@centenarymacon.org. We'll look forward to seeing yall at this wonderful gathering to affirm AJ's call to ministry!
